This Georgian 15k gold brooch is English, circa 1790. Incredibly fine, it is designed with a perimeter of plump natural pearls surrounding a center of guilloche red enamel. The central focus is a small rose cut diamond set in silver, hand crimped cut down collets. It is a miniature work of art, measuring 3/4 inches across x slightly under 3/4 inches wide. The reverse has the original T-bar and C clasp. The condition is excellent. I have sold many of these fine brooches and this is certainly one of the very finest. Small,unique and beautiful. England ,circa 1790. |
