This classical sterling buckle motif was very popular during the Victorian years. In this example the buckle is well designed conveying a sense of movement. The bracelet has superior engraving with swirls and leaves creating a paisley pattern. The front of the bracelet is engraved and the back is plain, very typical of the period. The bracelet opens and closes with a concealed push clasp that is secure. It also has an additional safety chain. It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham with a maker's mark of J.B.s. The condition is excellent and it can accommodate an average wrist. It has a circumference of 7.5 inches. The height is 1 inch with the front buckle measuring 1 1/4 inches.
