| This unusual Victorian silver bangle bracelet is circa 1880. The buckle motif was very popular during this period and this example is detailed and bold. The distinguishing feature is not only the buckle, but the "rippling" design of the strap. The hand engraving is well done and the bracelet opens with a concealed, secure push clasp. The reverse is unadorned as was typically done in Victorian bangles. It measures approximately, 7 1/2 inches around x 1 1/8 inches wide and would comfortably fit an average wrist. It is in fine condition with minor scuffing in the back and very slight dings in the rippled silver motif near the clasp. This is a beautiful example of an antique buckle bracelet. England, circa 1880. | ||||||||
