| This Georgian gold chain is circa 1820. Georgian chains such as this, are so elegant with fine detailing that were superbly created by master jewelers. The beauty is evident in the photos and the finely textured links with a glorious, rich patina, feel smooth and slinky in the hand. The chain is 15k and is completely original. It measures 38 inches long x 2/8 inches wide. It weighs 21.5 dwt. or over an ounce of old. The chain terminates with a secure barrel shaped push clasp, which is perfectly matched in patina and pattern to the chain. Worn long or doubled, it is subtle and understated. It is quite beautiful worn with other chains or pearls. The craftsmanship, condition and patina define this chain. Timeless in beauty and so very elegant for day or evening.
