The ring, a work of art, is scalloped in design and fitted with shaped cabachon agates. The agates well chosen for color include bloodstone, mauve, mustard and jasper hues. It is classical in inspiration and similar to the 19th century brooches. It is a size 6 1/2 US with a width of slightly greater than 1/8th and cannot be sized. The condition is superb. One tiny, bit of fine gold restoration visible on the front only with a loop. This would be a fine addition to any Scottish collection. Keep it yourself, or gift it to a loved one. Wonderful and rare, circa 1880.
