This elegant antique Victorian banded agate necklace is circa 1880. It is designed with well matched and perfectly graduated banded agate beads. The beads are the desirable black, brown and white combination and are interspersed with 14k rondells. The necklace terminates with the original large beaded clasp. The agate beads measure 12.5 mm for the central bead and 9mm for the smallest. The clasp is 13mm. It measures 18.5 inches long and drapes beautifully on the neck. The necklace is 19th century and yet the appearance is so lovely with contemporary dress wear. The condition is excellent and the gold has a beautiful patina. English, circa 1880 |
