This Art Deco designed ring is striking yet quite refined. The setting is an octagon accented with side baguettes and centered with an early brilliant cut diamond. The very white central stone is .50cts and GH/SI. The perimeter diamonds are Old European cuts and are .10cts each GH/VS. They too are very white and have excellent clarity. The six baguettes, gently curved in their settings continue the geometry created in the design of this ring. They six baguettes are .05 carats GH/VS. The total diamond weight is approximately 1.6 carats. The back is as lovely as the front , which would be expected of French jewelry. The platinum setting and grill work are smooth and beautifully rendered. There is a French mark for platinum, the dog, on the shank. There is one tiny edge chip to a baguette only visible under magnification, otherwise excellent. It is a size 7 US, and can be easily re-sized This is perfect for either the right or left hand as it makes a bold statement. French and beautiful,circa 1930. |
