Fantastic Art Deco sterling, marcasite, chalcedony bracelets. They are being sold together just as they have always been worn by the previous owner. The chalcedony has the desirable purple/ blue hue, set in sterling and accented with marcasites. The design is pure Deco, simple,geometric and dramatic. Each bracelet is a foil of the other both in color as well as design. The first bracelet measures 7 1/2 inches long x 1/2 inches wide, terminating with an integral push clasp. The design is spectacular, with triangular chalcedony opposing silver set with chalcedony. The links alternate with cabachon cut, bezel set chalcedony. The second bracelet measures 7 1/4 inches long x 5/8 wide and terminates with an integral push clasp. The chalcedony have good depth, giving the stones a beautiful hue and translucency. The stones are all carved with a floral motif and bezel set with a perimeter of marcasites. It is marked Germany, sterling on the clasp. Worn together, they are so distinctive and elegant. Pure Deco, circa 1920 and in excellent condition. |
