These Victorian earrings are Scottish, circa 1880. They are designed with beautiful native Montrose gray agates. The color of the gray is mellow with fine striations distinctively found in Scotland. The sterling is hand engraved so finely executed that it does not detract from the beauty of the stones. The earrings are quite large and centered with a beautiful articulating cairngorm. They measure 2 inches long from the top of the wire x 6/8 across. The earrings are completely original and in excellent condition. Finding true Victorian earrings like these is always difficult, as so many have been reproduced. These are the perfect pair to complement both Scottish and silver Victorian jewelry. Lovely! |
