Antique art Deco Labradorite Necklace
This Art Deco necklace is composed of twenty five beautiful labradorite beads. Labradorite was first discovered in 1770 in the Labrador Peninsular in Canada, and has been used creatively for centuries in jewelry designs. Labradorite has a unique quality that has been termed labradorescence. It describes the iridescence or play of color as light refracts the colors in the stone. The lines and imperfections are all natural characteristics of the stone and are not considered defects.

The beads are large, measuring 16.5 mm and have varying shades of moss green, hues of gold and vibrant flashes of blue. The push clasp is marcasite and has a Continental silver mark of 835. It measures 18 inches long and has a unique and subtle beauty.
