This adorable turtle is circa 1850. Designed with a shell of hexagonal faceted and polished steel that was riveted in place. The legs, head and tail are set with smaller round and oblong sections. The steel has a warm gray metallic hue and is in excellent shape. The reverse has the original t-bar and pin stem, but the original c-clasp has been replaced with a secure safety clasp.
