| This is a wonderful example of 19th century tortoise shell jewelry. It is bold ,designed with thick double pierced links connected with opposing direction alternating links. Each link measures approximately 1 inch long x 5/8 wide. The total length is 8 1/4 inches. It terminates with a lovely heart padlock embellished with a silver heart. The padlock is secure and measures 1 1/2 inches long x 1 inch wide. The bracelet is beautifully finished and smoothly polished. It is in excellent,original condition. How wonderful finding a bracelet with a contemporary look, circa 1880. | |||||||||
