Antique Scottish Agate Bracelet
This bracelet is Victorian, circa 1860. It is Scottish, Celtic jewelry, and is designed with beautifully matched Montrose gray agates set in bold, highly engraved settings. Each link is a work of art, curved silver skillfully hand engraved, and inlaid with striated gray agates. The central element is curved to fit the wrist and has inlaid agates set between finely engraved silver strips. The center section measures 1 1/2 inches x 1 1/2 inches. Note the beveled silver work in the center. The side panels graduate from 1 x 5/8 inches to 5/8 x 5/8. The entire bracelet measures 7 inches. It is secured by a push clasp so finely designed that even the ends are engraved.

The condition is excellent to mint, and entirely original. This is truly the highest form of antique Scottish jewelry, bold, subtle in color and unique in design. Rare to find in monochromatic agates, especially in this condition.
