| This is one of the rarest forms of Scottish loveknot brooches. It is sterling,circa 1860, and is reminiscent of American wedding quilts. It is the interlocking symbolic rings of love where there is "no beginning or end." In this example the most beautiful choice of agates are perfectly chosen and cut for a soft visual affect. It measures 2 inches round, is all original and in excellent condition. This is the second brooch of this design I have seen. The other is in our personal collection. This is folk art at its best. | ||||||
