| This 18k brooch is French,circa 1880. It is a stylized fly resting on a gold bar with a pearl top. The silver top gold wings are set with beautifully cut rose diamonds, a fresh water pearl body and an incredible adularescent agate below the head. The eyes are foiled back cabachon garnets. The details of the legs and body are finely executed, as is he reverse. The gold work is of the highest quality, as expected of French jewelry. The C- clasp has French touch marks for silver and gold. It measures 2 inches across x 1 inch down. The fly itself measures 1 1/2 x 1. It retains all original mounts and is in excellent, original condition. It could be worn at an angle or across. Great for a man's cravat or blazer as well! | |||||||
