| These 18k gold earrings are English, circa 1850. Fine cannettille work on the earrings create a lacey feminine look. Cannetille is the term used to describe the use of gold wires twisted and turned to create patterns. The process is laborious and requires great skill. These dramatic, long earrings measure 2 7/8 long x 7/8 across. They articulate gracefully, and the bow is a very feminine touch. These are strikingly beautiful and have a rich patina.
