| Antique moonstone necklaces are prized for the clarity and glorious sheen of blue and are easily distinguished from their modern counterparts. This gold necklace is circa 1900, and has well matched, gem quality cabachon stones. The gold content varies between 9k-12k gold. The design which is quite feminine, was very popular at the turn of the century. The details, like the tiny buttons of gold interspersed between the top row of stones, and the fine variation of chains, make this a lovely example. The three drops are spaced with bezel set rubies. The necklace measures 17 3/4 inches and the central section measures 3 1/4 inches across x 1 3/4 long. The necklace is all original and in superb condition.
