| This rare brooch is Victorian brooch, circa 1880. The design is whimsical and most unusual. It features a frog strumming a mandolin, with 41 bright rose cut diamonds silver set on gold adorning his body. The eyes are ruby cabochons and there is an ornamental gold bracelet on its shoulder. The frog is resting on a bar and almost looks like a sculpture. It is finely executed in high karat rose gold and beautifully designed, measuring 2 inches across x 1 inch down. The reverse has all original mounts. It is in excellent condition and rare. Wonderful! | ||||||
