| These earrings are circa 1860 and are certainly among the best I have sold. The are designed in three section,with each articulating. They are completely original and retain the rich 15k yellow gold patina that cannot be duplicated. The naturalistic form has cascading buds of aqua and encircled with leaves of gold. The gold work is superior with fine detailing and granulation. The central section is also interesting that when viewed from an angle it is evident that the gold was beautifully molded as well. It is always difficult finding original earrings from this time period, but finding them in beautiful, original condition is always exciting. There is a slight ding on the side and back to note, but condition is still considered excellent. The earrings are long and dramatic measuring 2 inches x 3/4 inches. | ||||||||
