| This Georgian gold ring is circa 1790. It has a beautiful central table cut amethyst which is foil backed. Gemstones which were closed in the back were foiled to reflect light. This foiling gives the stone a mellow reddish/purple hue. The diamonds, which have a rub over setting are encased in silver. There are six rose diamonds and a beautiful ribbed shank. The ring measures a 7 1/2 US. It is in excellent, all original condition. This has been well loved for over 300 years. | |||||||||
