This whimsical 15k English brooch is quite rare. It is circa 1890, and is designed as a playful cat climbing a ladder to catch a ball. The cat has faceted ruby eyes, and a baroque pearl body surrounded by tiny rose cut diamonds. The ball is a European cut diamond and the ladder has channel set natural Burmese rubies with rose diamonds as rungs. The pin measures 1 3/4 inches across x 5/8 inches down. It retains the original C-clasp and is in excellent condition. Wonderful!!! |
