| This silver gilt ,marked 800,necklace dates 19th Century. It is extremely fine micro work with small tesserae beautifully set in a floral motif interspersed with fine silver wire work. This is rare to find in silver and in this condition. It is a choker, at 14 inches and would grace a smaller neck . The chain is a classical foxtail link, and it has the original closure. There have been no repairs and is in excellent condition. This is lovely example of the art of micro-mosaics. | ||||||||||
