These are antique 18k gold and silver French crystal earrings. They distinguish themselves not only by the classical two stone design, but by the size of the faceted crystals. I always search for this design with larger stones, and was fortunate to find them in Paris. Both stones are set with a coronet silver setting. The top stone is a cushion cut of 20 pts. and the bottom is large at approx. 150 pts or 1 1/2 carats. The stones are bright and reflective. They earrings have lever backs and a French gold guarantee stamp on the ear wires. They measure 1/2 in length X slightly under 3/8 ths across. The patina is original and the condition is excellent. So very hard to find, and these are a superb example. The size is perfect for day or evening. French circa 1900 |
