This is an early 19th century English chain and fob. So perfect for every day wear, it has a unique link and a lovely patina. The chain has been joined with the set of fobs a it is such a good match for color and period. The 15k chain is substantial and has a very interesting crescent design. It terminates with a heavy and secure push clasp. The chain measures 18 1/4 inches long X 3/16th of an inch. It ways 10 dwt. The 9k hand engraved fobs are joined with an original repousse split ring. Two are plain and one has a classical motif of two birds on a fountain. It is in excellent condition. Lovely and one of a kind. England, circa 1840 |
