Victorian Gold Pansy Gemstone Pendant Circa 1840
This Victorian 15k antique pendant is English circa 1840. it is designed with a central pansy incorporating amethyst and citrine stones all faceted and set in rub over gold collets. The faceted round amethyst and the aqua drop are set in saw tooth collets. There is a small bright, central Old European Cut diamond which was an early replacement for a rose cut diamond. The symbolism of a pansy is "think of me" or pensee in French and often a favored love token.

It comes with a 15k chain which measures 13 3/4 inches, making it a choker. Any longer chain would be easy to join with this pendant.

This pendant has a rich, original patina and a beautiful variation of color. It measures 2 1/4 inches long from the top bail. This would also be lovely worn on a ribbon. England, circa 1840
