Simply beautiful, these gold Georgian earrings are English, circa 1800. These were transformed from the links of a partial bracelet and given new life with the addition of gold ear wires. Three pairs will be available, each ever so slightly different in size. The stone is a faceted smoky quartz that was foil back and set in hand crimped gold collets. The backs have a beautiful bulbous curve typical of this period and look well from every angle. The 18k gold has a rich, original patina and the 14k ear wires match perfectly. They measure slightly more than 3/4 inches long from the top of the wire. The smoky quartz section alone measures slightly more than 1/2 inch X 1/2 inch across. There will be only three/ now two, pairs available and I will probably never have another. The smoky quartz is so neutral and easily worn with antique as well as contemporary jewelry.
