The central section has two split pearls finely set to add softness to the top and bottom elements. The chalcedony used on the top and bottom is a frosted white with a hint of blue. These are such a lovely and quite rare example of Victorian design. The form is a Scottish Tara, a Celtic design. This motif is most often found on brooches and I am always thrilled finding this design in earrings. They are 15k, have a beautiful patina, and exhibit fine gold work. They measure 1 1/4 inches from the top of the wire X 7/8ths across. They are light on the ear and gently articulate with movement. Condition is excellent. They are the perfect earring worn alone. Perfect for casual/ ...click for details

Cut steel earrings in their original form and in excellent condition, are so difficult to find. These are designed with a top cut steel cluster, attached to a faceted steel bale, which connects to a very detailed, beautiful flower. The central flower is surrounded by a circle of cut steel, which not only frames it, but adds an illusion of movement. Each faceted piece of steel is connected to a metal backplate with a rivet. This is very time consuming work done entirely by hand. This polished, fa ...click for details

These silver earrings are English, circa 1880 and are beautifully designed and executed. The style is Etruscan Revival, very popular during this period and usually reserved for gold jewelry as the process is time consuming and labor intensive. Spirals of silver have created this lovely pattern and applied petals and central element complete the rendition of a sunflower. It is more unusual in motif, and quite wearable as it complements the silver jewelry of the period in a subtle way. The earrin ...click for details
