This lovely French pair of diamond earrings are circa 1900. They are called dormeuse earrings in France, for dormer, or sleep. They are petit and comfortable enough to wear to sleep or for daily wear. In Paris, even today, you will see the woman wearing similar earrings with just a touch of sparkle as this pair imparts.

They are designed as a double diamond set in 18k white and pale rose gold. The white gold setting ...click for details

Silver jewelry, like this English silver collar, was very popular in the 19th century. Like all periods of jewelry, it is the design and execution that distinguishes a piece. This wonderful example has a six sided link, centered with a silver spiral, and accented with cannonballs. The design is simple and elegant, with the finely engraved, scalloped links providing a softening touch . It measures 18.5 inches long X 3/4 inches wide. It is very lovely worn alone or joined with a locket. England, c ...click for details
