Early Georgian paste jewelry is rare to find in its original condition. This fine example is English, circa 1780. The brooch is silver, with clear black dot pastes stones all faceted and set in rub over settings. The black dot at the bottom of the stones was used to simulate the culet of a real diamond and found in the finest paste jewelry.
