Extraordinary Georgian pendant with fine cannetille work, circa 1820. This 18k gold pendant has every attribute that collectors of early period jewelry desire. The perimeter stones are set with pale pink foil and the central stone with a very, very pale yellowish green, almost the color of chrysoberyl. Foil placed beneath a stone was used to enhance the color and the reflection of light as stones were set with closed backs during this period of time. The result is a marvelous mellow hue that v ...click for details
