This is perhaps one of the rarest brooches in my personal collection. This beautiful Montrose Gray agate is designed as a "Key to My Heart." This pin circa 1820, is most interesting, not only for its considerable age but for its content. It has a surround of natural pearls and encased under a beveled glass is hair. The hair is done with three colors and joined by gold thread. It is in the pattern of Prince Edward's feathers, the symbol for the Prince of Wales. Remarkably, it is in near mint condition.
