This elegant Art Deco ring is French, circa 1925. The 1920's was ablaze with modernity, and with the Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes held in Paris in 1925, a new era of design was officially born. It was markedly different from the sinuous curves and flowing lines of Art Nouveau and the "Old World" designs of the Victorian period. Lovely platinum antique ring,circa 1920 with central oval aqua surrounded by a ring of small diamonds. The shank has graceful arched shoulders supporting the central aqua section. The setting is finely done and the band is marked Plt. for platinum. Each of the 14 diamonds is approx. 1 pt. The size is 6 1/4 US The ring is elegant and in excellent condition.
