This 15k brooch is English, circa 1850. These brooches are rare to find in silver, and even rarer in gold. It has rock crystals that are foiled to create the colors of amethyst, citrine and garnet. The body is entirely hand made and beautifully detailed. The beetle illuminates as light passes through the crystals and is dramatic when worn on the shoulder or lapel. It measures 1 3/4 long x 1 1/4 across. The reverse has all original mounts. The gold has a rich patina and is in excellent condition. ...click for details

This coral necklace is Victorian. The three strands of natural coral have small oval beads that have faceted crystals in the center. The circa 1830 clasp is lovely as well, and has perfectly matched natural split pearls surrounding a compartment housing finely braided hair. The clasp is so finely designed it would look great with the clasp worn on the side, rather than in the back of the neck. The necklace measures 16.5 inches as the shortest length. The coral is a beautiful salmon color and ...click for details

These earrings are circa 1860 and are certainly among the best I have sold. The are designed in three section, with each articulating. They are completely original and retain the rich 15k yellow gold patina that cannot be duplicated. The naturalistic form has cascading buds of aqua and encircled with leaves of gold. The gold work is superior with fine detailing and granulation. The central section is also interesting that when viewed from an angle it is evident that the gold was beautifully mold ...click for details

This very feminine 15k necklace has a long history beginning with the central element. The central motif is a carved emerald surrounded by flat cut diamonds set in silver. This section is circa 1800. The central stone is an emerald carved scarab. It was originally a bead used on a necklace or ornament, then considered valuable enough to be used as the focal point of this drop circa 1800. The reverse of the pendant is finely engraved in gold. There are four pink topaz faceted lozenge shape stones ...click for details

This pin is circa 1850 and has a central oval citrine framed with gold scrolls and hollow construction typical of the period. It has good details and hand engraving. Measuring 1 7/8 inches across x 1 1/2 inches down, it is a good size for sweater or blazer. The reverse shows the bezel has a slight bend around the citrine which does not effect the stone or appearance. There is also a slight dent on the reverse near the top loop. The gold is 9k and and has the original lovely patina.

This work of art is circa 1890. Designed as a moth, it has a large baroque pearl as its body, a diamond head and rubies on its wings. The pearl itself measures 3/4 inches long x 1/2inches wide and has beautiful luster with rose overtones. The diamond head is an old European cut approximately 23 pts. There is another small diamond for the mouth. The moth is finely detailed in 18k gold and silver, with ingenious use of a baroque pearl for a body. It has a fitting on the reverse to convert to a hai ...click for details
