This wonderful 15k gold Georgian heart locket is English, circa 1760. It is not only lovely to wear but has a meaningful inscription. This form, often called a Stuart Crystal, is designed with a flat crystal, faceted on the edges and set in a hand crimped rub over collet. It is surmounted with a bow inscribed "Present en Absence."
