Just as lovely as the pictures, this heart is quite spectacular. It is finely hand engraved with vines, leaves, ferns and engraving details typical of this period. Both sides are engraved, with one bearing a central section awaiting initials. It is large, measuring 1 3/8 with the bale, x 1 1/8 across. It has a depth of 3/8ths. This rock crystal Victorian locket is circa 1900. It is English, rendered in 15k and has unusually pretty engraving around the bezel. Most lockets of this type are gold filled or plated, and I am always pleased to find one in gold. The orb measures 3/4 inches and with the bail it is 1 inch long. Small in scale, it looks great worn on the modern cord provided that has a 14k lobster clasp, or on a charm bracelet. It opens and closes with two tiny gold balls and will magnify and photo. This ring is Georgian, circa 1790. It has a central foiled back amethyst set in crimped rub over collets. Two collet set, bright mine cut diamonds on either side of the amethyst, are nicely detailed with three tiny gold balls. The diamonds are approximately 8 pts each. The amethyst measures approximately 6mm down x 7mm across. The shoulders of the ring are simple and elegantly designed with details typical of the period.
