This is an interesting form of Scottish jewelry. It is circa 1860 and is a bow motif, obviously designed for a woman. The majority of Scottish jewelry was designed for the men to be worn on the tartans and it is always exciting to come across a form that is sentimental and geared to please the woman. This bow is wonderful in form and choice of colors. It measures 2 3/4 inches across x 1 1/4 down. The reverse has all original mounts and a secure C-clasp. It is in excellent, unrestored condition. ...click for details

This gold Scottish pin is circa 1850. It is rare to find Scottish pins in gold since this vast majority were designed in silver. This pin is 12k and has a beautiful rich gold patina. It has a warm blend of jasper and fancy bloodstone agates and has very fine engraving as well. The central faceted stone is a cairngorm mined in the highlands of Scotland and is set in a beautifully detailed bezel. The four outer points are decorated with fleur de lys symbolizing the Auld Alliance between Scotland ...click for details

This is the finest micro-mosaic I have ever sold. It is Georgian, circa 1830 and has the smallest tesserai I have seen to create this scene of St. Peter's Square. Actually, it is necessary to use a jeweler's loop to view the inlay work. It is set in goldstone and framed in a cannetille gold frame. It measures 1 1/2 inches with the frame. The micro- mosaic alone measures 1 inch x 1 2/8 inches. It is in excellent, original condition and is museum quality.

These wonderful earrings are Georgian ,circa 1820. The are hand carved and have beautiful gold cannetille work (fine wires worked in patterns) and a rich patina. The top of the earring is a carved flower motif capped in a crimped gold setting which is typical of the time period. The torpedo shaped drop has a top mount with exquisite gold work and the bottom of the drop is cannetille as well. They measure 2 inches from the top of the wire. The condition is excellent. There is one tiny dot missing ...click for details
