These earrings are circa 1860 and are certainly among the best I have sold. The are designed in three section, with each articulating. They are completely original and retain the rich 15k yellow gold patina that cannot be duplicated. The naturalistic form has cascading buds of aqua and encircled with leaves of gold. The gold work is superior with fine detailing and granulation. The central section is also interesting that when viewed from an angle it is evident that the gold was beautifully mold ...click for details

This is a rare sterling Scottish brooch, circa 1860 . It is not rare in theme, being a loveknot, but in its design. It has the celtic knot symbolizing everlasting love, a popular theme, but the use of the agates make it most unusual. The appearance is a weave achieved by the blend of the agates. It is a trick of the eye and the illusion was expertly orchestrated. Each agate having mellow shading is inlaid and chosen precisely to achieve the affect of the weave. It measures 2 1/2 inches across x ...click for details

This is a fine example of Georgian design, circa 1800. It is simple, elegant and distinctive. Featuring a foiled back central citrine flanked by rose diamonds, this ring is wonderful. The central table cut stone is foiled back and set in a crimped rub over gold setting. The citrine measures 3/8 long x 3/8 across. The diamonds are set in a rub over setting as well and ends with a decorative scroll finely uniting the design to the shank. The rear is typical of Georgian rings with radiating lines in ...click for details

This 15k Georgian brooch is circa 1820. It has beautiful pale almondine garnets which have been faceted and foiled back. Stones at this period of time were typically closed in the back and the use of foil gave the stones a mellow color which varied shades according to the reflection of light. These garnets are all set in rose gold crimped, cut-down collets. The reverse is finely done with curved gold surrounding each stone, and all original mounts. It measures 1 3/8 x 1 3/8. There is a small din ...click for details
