Lovely antique 15k earrings,English circa 1840. These earrings are set with a round faceted amethyst and a tear shaped aqua drop. Both are vibrant and have beautiful cut down collets. The stones are separated by a gold flower embellished with cannetille. Cannetille is the word used to describe spirals of twisted gold which creates patterns and adds texture. She traveled to the Orient and it is reflected in her jewelry. Her work is distinctive, and lily pads are one of her recurrent designs.
