This very traditional, antique Scottish agate brooch is circa 1880. It has bloodstone and jasper agates set in 9k gold that has been finely hand engraved. Each of the four corners of the central section are decorated with a fleur de lys, symbolic of the Auld Alliance between France and Scotland in 1295.
