This unusual Victorian silver bangle bracelet is circa 1880. The buckle motif was very popular during this period and this example is detailed and bold. The distinguishing feature is not only the buckle, but the "rippling" design of the strap. The hand engraving is well done and the bracelet opens with a concealed, secure push clasp. The reverse is unadorned as was typically done in Victorian bangles. It measures approximately, 7 1/2 inches around x 1 1/8 inches wide and would comfort ...click for details

These earrings are most unusual in their motif. They are Scottish, circa 1880, and are rendered in 15k gold. They are designed as a traditional Tara form more often found on brooches of this period. They have a magnificent ,original gold patina and are in excellent condition. The gold work is superior with beautiful applied wire work. They measure 1 3/8 long from the top wire x 7/8 across. They are the perfect size for everyday wear and are ideal to accompany most antique design periods as wel ...click for details

This antique Victorian Scottish bracelet is circa 1860. My love of Scottish jewelry is evident. Perhaps it is because the value is in the design and craftsmanship, rather than in the materials. Here is one of the finest examples of this art form. It has a large, bold central element designed as a flower head, centered with a faceted amethyst. The colors of the agates are in total contrast with the amethyst, making it quite striking. The agates themselves have the full range of color indigenous t ...click for details

This cuff bracelet is English, circa 1880. It is more unusual than most, having fine pierced work creating vines, leaves and flowers. The use of multi- colored gold used with silver, became popular when the art of Japan was widely introduced in Europe. Commodore Perry credited with bringing about a trade agreement with Japan also opened the world to Japanese art and culture. In this example the pierced silver work is superb as is the hand engraving. The open work adds not only light, but looks ...click for details
