Finding authentic Victorian earrings is a challenge for the collector and for the dealer alike. This is a pair of Victorian Scottish agate Montrose gray earrings. The earrings, circa 1880 are designed with a garter motif very popular in Scottish and English jewelry. Just as lovely as the pictures, this heart is quite spectacular. It is finely hand engraved with vines, leaves, ferns and engraving details typical of this period. Both sides are engraved, with one bearing a central section awaiting initials. It is large, measuring 1 3/8 with the bale, x 1 1/8 across. It has a depth of 3/8ths. This distinctive cuff bracelet is English, circa 1870. The pictures best define the beauty and unique design. It is English with hallmarks for Birmingham, date year 1876 and maker's marks of W & Co.

This bracelet exemplifies the Aesthetic Movement. In 1854 Commodore Perry established a trade agreement between the US and Japan. This opened the world to the arts of Japan. The use of mixed metal and naturalistic ...click for details

Simply lovely, these earrings are the desirable cushion shaped paste solitaire. Formally cuff buttons, they are now radiant paste earrings with the addition of graceful gold ear wires. The pastes are faceted and foil back, giving the pastes a bright white with hints of honey tones. They were set in hand crimped rub over silver collets, typical of the Georgian period.

They measure 5/8 long from the top of the wire to ...click for details

Certainly among the best I have offered, this Victorian sterling bracelet is circa 1880. It is a clever rendition of an actual shirt cuff, replete with the button hole. The design is simple and embellished only with a crosshatching of applied silver. The back is unadorned as was typical of the period. It has a slightly oval shape which allows the bracelet to rest well on the wrist without turning. It measures 7 inches and is 1 1/4 inches wide. It retains a fine patina, is architectural in desig ...click for details

This gold moonstone necklace is Victorian, circa 1900. It is elegantly designed, with beautiful cabachon moonstones interspersed with small faceted rubies. The moonstones are clear with flashes of blue exhibiting adularescence. The term adularescence, is that play of light that crosses the stone as light passes through. So magical in appearance, the Romans believed it was formed from drops of moonlight. It is seen on the finest gem quality stones, and it is this quality that distinguishes it fr ...click for details

This rock crystal Victorian locket is circa 1900. It is English, rendered in 15k and has unusually pretty engraving around the bezel. Most lockets of this type are gold filled or plated, and I am always pleased to find one in gold. The orb measures 3/4 inches and with the bail it is 1 inch long. Small in scale, it looks great worn on the modern cord provided that has a 14k lobster clasp, or on a charm bracelet. It opens and closes with two tiny gold balls and will magnify and photo. I prefer it ...click for details

This is the first Georgian ring in precious pink topaz I have had the joy to sell. It is 18th century, circa 1760, and English in origin. Designed with classical fluted and arched shoulders, it joins a finely reeded shank. The central element has a foiled back faceted pink topaz, set in a rub over gold collet. Stones at this period of time were closed in the back and foil beneath the stone reflected light and added a rich hue. It is surrounded by four small mine cut diamonds set in silver colle ...click for details
