This classical, French Gothic Revival Period bracelet,is circa 1860-1880. During the 19th Century, the upper classes enjoyed extravagant balls based on historical themes. Renaissance cultures of the Mediterranean used the chimera, a mythological creature with the head of a lion, the body of a goat, and the tail of a serpent. This motif captured the imagination of many 19th century jewelers and was u ...click for details
